A tutti i Registrar, in riferimento alle comunicazioni inviate alla lista registrars(a)nic.it il 24 marzo 2020 (ticket n. 2020032450003959 e oggetto "Sospensione del costo di mantenimento dei nomi a dominio .it") e il 29 aprile 2020 (ticket n. 2020042950004009 e oggetto "Proroga del periodo di sospensione del costo di mantenimento dei nomi a dominio .it"), vi informiamo che il periodo di sospensione dei pagamenti relativi ai rinnovi dei nomi a dominio terminera' il 30 giugno prossimo. Pertanto, dal 1 luglio p.v., il Registro .it provvedera' ad addebitare al Registrar il costo di mantenimento dei nomi a dominio rinnovati a partire da tale data. Per quanto riguarda, invece, i costi di mantenimento non addebitati nel periodo 27 marzo - 30 giugno, durante la prima settimana di luglio il Registro .it comunichera’ ai Registrar il piano di rientro previsto. Vi ricordiamo, infine, che sul portale RAIN (https://rain.nic.it), nella sezione “Pagamenti e Fatturazione / Operazioni Rinnovo Non Addebitate” e’prevista la funzionalita', per il Registrar, di ottenere il numero delle operazioni di rinnovo che sono state effettuate a partire dal 27 marzo 2020, i relativi costi di mantenimento non addebitati al Registrar, il suo credito attuale e l'elenco dei nomi a dominio che sono stati automaticamente rinnovati. A tutti i Registrar, vi informiamo che, in previsione della scadenza (2 giugno 2020) dell'attuale certificato SSL del servizio EPP di produzione, lunedì 25 maggio, alle ore 14:00, il Registro.it provvedera’ a sostituire il certificato SSL sui server epp.nic.it, epp-deleted.nic.it, epp-acc1.nic.it, epp-acc3.nic.it e epp-acc4.nic.it. Il nuovo certificato, rilasciato dalla CA pubblica DigiCert CA, utilizza l'algoritmo di cifratura SHA-512. Con l’occasione vi informiamo che il Registro.it, al fine di rendere indipendente il client EPP dai certificati SSL utilizzati nel servizio EPP, ha rilasciato una nuova versione del client EPP che non fa piu’ uso del file “trusted.keystore”, contenente la chiave pubblica del servizio EPP del Registro .it. Il nuovo client (epp-client-1.17.0-20200513.zip) e’ stato pubblicato nel repository https://epp-doc.nic.it/. Al fine di non creare disagi a coloro che utilizzano l’attuale client del Registro e, al fine di consentirgli una migrazione non repentina verso l’adozione del nuovo client, e’ stato generato e pubblicato, sempre nel repository https://epp-doc.nic.it/, un nuovo file trusted.keystore, denominato “trusted.keystore_20141118_202241118_sha512”, contenente la nuova chiave pubblica del Registro .it. Il nuovo certificato e’ stato pubblicato anche in formato PEM nelle due estensioni .pem e .cer (nic.it_20200406_20220722_sha512.pem e nic.it_20200406_20220722_sha512.cer rispettivamente). I file “trusted.keystore_20141118_202241118_sha512”, "nic.it_20200406_20220722_sha512.pem” e "nic.it_20200406_20220722_sha512.cer" saranno rimossi dal repository il 31 luglio 2020. The new certificate, released by the public CA DigiCert CA, uses the SHA-512 encryption algorithm. We would like to inform you that Registro.it, in order to make the EPP client independent from the SSL certificates used in the EPP service, has released a new version of the EPP client that no longer uses the "trusted.keystore" file, containing the public key of the Registro .it EPP service. The new client (epp-client-1.17.0-20200513.zip) has been published in the https://epp-doc.nic.it/ repository. In order not to cause inconvenience to those who use the current Registro .it client and, in order to allow them a smooth migration to the new client, a new trusted.keystore file, named "trusted.keystore_20141118_202241118_sha512", containing the new public key of the Registro.it has been generated and published in the https://epp-doc.nic.it/ repository. The new certificate has also been published in PEM format in the two extensions .pem and .cer (nic.it_20200406_20220722_sha512.pem and nic.it_20200406_20220722_sha512.cer respectively). A tutti i Registrar, a seguito dell’emergenza sanitaria, Covid-19, che sta attanagliando non solo l’Italia ma il Mondo intero, siamo vicini a tutti voi e al vostro operato. Proprio per dare sostegno al servizio di registrazione e mantenimento dei nomi a dominio, vi informiamo che il Registro .it ha sviluppato una nuova versione del sistema di registrazione dei nomi a dominio che prevede una sospensione dei pagamenti dei rinnovi per un periodo di tempo predefinito nella seguente modalità: 1. il mancato addebito della quota di mantenimento di un nome a dominio quando questo, raggiunta la sua naturale scadenza (campo expire) viene automaticamente rinnovato; 2. come conseguenza del punto precedente, il rinnovo di un nome a dominio avverrà anche se il credito del Registrar dovesse risultare insufficiente. In tal caso il nome a dominio non passerà nello stato di inactive/notRenewed; 3. la non alterazione degli stati del sistema e dei tempi di permanenza nei suddetti stati, così come definiti nel Regolamento di assegnazione e dei nomi a dominio e nelle relative Linee guida tecniche. Le suddette modifiche entreranno in vigore con il nuovo sistema giovedì 26 marzo alle ore 11:00 e non avranno effetto retroattivo. È previsto che il nuovo sistema resti in funzione sino a domenica 3 maggio inclusa. Eventuali proroghe saranno comunicate dal Registro ai Registrar tramite la mailing list registrars(a)nic.it. Con largo anticipo rispetto alla data di ripristino del sistema attualmente in uso, il Registrar potrà visualizzare, sul portale RAIN, l’elenco dei domini rinnovati per i quali non è stato addebitato il relativo costo di mantenimento e l’importo complessivo che il Registrar dovrà successivamente versare sul proprio prepagato al fine di coprire il credito non versato. Nel caso in cui il prepagato risultasse incapiente, il Registrar avrà a disposizione 30 gg di tempo per effettuare il pagamento tramite bonifico o carta di credito. L’eventuale mancata capienza economica, oltre il termine indicato, comporterà la sospensione del servizio al Registrar, fino alla reintegrazione del credito necessario. Just to support the domain name registration and maintenance service, we inform you that the Registro .it has developed a new version of the domain name registration system that provides for a suspension of payments for renewals for a predefined period of time in the following way: 1. the failure to charge the maintenance fee for a domain name when this, upon reaching its natural expiry date (expire field), is automatically renewed; 2. as a consequence of the previous point, the renewal of a domain name will take place even if the Registrar credit is insufficient. In this case the domain name will not go into inactive/notRenewed status; 3. the non-alteration of the statuses of the system and of the times of permanence in the aforementioned statuses, as defined in the Regulations of assignment and management of domain names in the ccTDL.it and in the relative Technical Guidelines. The above changes will enter into force with the new system on Thursday March 26, at 11:00 a.m. and will not have retroactive effect. The new system is expected to remain in operation until Sunday May 3, included. Any extensions will be communicated by the Registry to Registrars via the registrars(a)nic.it mailing list. Well in advance of the date of restoration of the system currently in use, the Registrar will be able to view, on the RAIN portal, the list of renewed domains for which the relative maintenance cost has not been charged and the total amount that the Registrar will subsequently have to pay on its prepaid payment in order to cover the unpaid credit. In the event that the prepaid payment fails, the Registrar will have 30 days to make the payment by bank transfer or credit card. Failure to pay beyond the specified deadline will result in the suspension of the Registrar service until the necessary credit is reinstated. A tutti i Registrar, vi informiamo che domani, 4 marzo 2020, sarà rilasciata nell'ambiente di test del Registro (https://morse.pubtest.nic.it), la nuova piattaforma MoRSe (Monitoring Registrar Services) sviluppata dal Registro.it. MoRSe intende fornire ai Registrar del .it uno strumento che gli consente di monitorare, real-time e/o periodicamente, lo stato di salute dei propri host, sistemi e servizi. La piattaforma è stata sviluppata secondo il paradigma SaaS, è accessibile via web, è cloud based e consente di misurare la performance (latenza) delle apparecchiature dei Registrar da diversi nodi distribuiti geograficamente e di individuare eventuali vulnerabilità di sicurezza presenti su sistemi e servizi esposti pubblicamente su Internet. Ogni Registrar può monitorare esclusivamente le macchine che dichiara essere sotto la propria gestione e può configurare il sistema di alerting in modo da ricevere via email le segnalazioni di potenziali problemi riscontrati. La piattaforma MoRSe fornisce anche servizi per "i più esperti", quali l'analisi del routing BGP e la rilevazione di casi di "BGP Hijacking”. MoRSe aims to provide .it Registrars with a tool that allows them to monitor, real-time and/or periodically, the health status of their hosts, systems and services. The platform has been developed according to the SaaS paradigm, is accessible via web, is cloud based and allows to measure the performance (latency) of Registrar equipment from different nodes distributed geographically and to identify any security vulnerabilities present on systems and services publicly exposed on the Internet. Each Registrar can monitor only the machines that it claims to be under its management and can configure the alerting system in order to receive reports of potential problems via email. The MoRSe platform also provides services for "the most experienced", such as the analysis of BGP routing and the detection of "BGP Hijacking" cases. A tutti i Registrar, alle 23 ore britanniche (mezzanotte in Italia) tra il 31 gennaio e il 1 febbraio 2020 «il Regno Unito non sarà più uno Stato membro dell’Ue e sarà considerato un Paese terzo», così come scritto in una nota ufficiale del Consiglio europeo. Sia l’Inghilterra sia l’Unione Europea manterranno lo status quo fino al 31 Dicembre 2020 in attesa di negoziare i nuovi parametri delle relazioni future. In questo periodo di transizione il Regno Unito continuerà ad applicare il diritto dell’Unione ma non sarà più rappresentato nelle istituzioni dell’Ue Nelle more di questo processo, si fa presente che la Gran Bretagna potrà continuare a registrare nomi a dominio nel ccTLD .it. alla stregua dei soggetti che abbiano cittadinanza, residenza o sede nei Paesi dello Spazio Economico Europeo (SEE), nello Stato del Vaticano, nella Repubblica di San Marino e nella Confederazione Svizzera. Si fa presente che il Registro .it è in attesa degli accordi definitivi tra la Gran Bretagna e l’Unione Europea, per impostare una politica in merito alla Registrazione dei nomi a dominio nel ccTLD .it. In this transition period, United Kingdom will continue to apply the Union law, but will no longer be represented in the EU Institutions.
