siamo lieti di informarvi che, dal 24 al 26 giugno, il Registro .it sara’ presente a BolognaFiere per partecipare all’edizione 2026 di We Make Future (WMF).
WMF e’ un appuntamento internazionale di tre giorni, dedicato a innovazione digitale, intelligenza artificiale e tecnologia, che riunisce oltre 100 eventi tra formazione, business e intrattenimento. Ogni anno connette imprese, startup, istituzioni, investitori e professionisti provenienti da oltre 90 Paesi, configurandosi come un ecosistema di incontro tra ricerca, mercato e sviluppo tecnologico.
Anche quest’anno il Registro .it partecipera’ a WMF con uno spazio dedicato (padiglione 30, stand C35-D34), pensato come luogo di incontro e confronto con Registrar, professionisti del digitale, web agency e aziende. Un’occasione per condividere esperienze, approfondire i temi dell’identita’ digitale e riflettere sul ruolo strategico dei nomi a dominio nell’evoluzione dell’ecosistema online, in uno scenario sempre piu’ influenzato dall’intelligenza artificiale, dalla cybersecurity e dalle nuove dinamiche della presenza digitale.
Inoltre, nell’ambito della manifestazione, il Registro .it ha organizzato due eventi, della durata di mezzora ciascuno:
- il primo incontro, che si terra’ il 24 giugno (ore 16.00,) sara’ dedicato alla direttiva NIS2 e al tema della resilienza digitale, con un confronto sulle nuove responsabilita’ e opportunita’ per imprese e operatori del settore;
- il secondo appuntamento, che si terra’ il 25 giugno (ore 14.00), presentera’ l’indagine strategica avviata dal Registro .it per analizzare il posizionamento del dominio .it e il rapporto tra identita’ digitale, domini, AI e nuove modalita’ di ricerca e visibilita’ online.

Cybersecurity e NIS2: dalla compliance alla resilienza digitale europea
Registro .it porta a WMF 2026 un confronto su un tema di grande attualita’ per gli operatori del settore digitale: la direttiva NIS2 e l’evoluzione profonda che portera’ al quadro europeo della cybersecurity.
Con l’entrata in piena operativita’ prevista nella seconda meta’ di ottobre, la direttiva NIS2 amplia il perimetro e le responsabilita’ nella gestione del rischio digitale per le aziende. La sicurezza informatica assume un ruolo sempre piu’ strategico, con l’introduzione di obblighi piu’ stringenti sulla prevenzione, sulla notifica degli incidenti e sulla responsabilita’ del management. La cybersecurity non riguarda piu’ solo le infrastrutture critiche ma diventa un modello di resilienza sistemica, che coinvolge pubbliche amministrazioni, imprese e operatori digitali lungo l’intera catena operativa, dai fornitori ai servizi cloud fino alle piattaforme infrastrutturali.
Dialogheranno su questo tema, presso la casa del Registro .it a WMF 2026 (padiglione 30, stand C35-D34), Andrea Passarella, Direttore e Responsabile del Registro .it, e Andrea Rigoni, Founder and Managing Partner di Altirium.
Un confronto tra pubblico e privato, industria digitale ed ecosistema dei nomi a dominio per raccontare le sfide di implementazione e le opportunita’ di innovazione legate alla NIS2, con l’obiettivo di capire come la compliance possa diventare un fattore abilitante e non solo un obbligo regolatorio.

Dal dato alla strategia: l’indagine del Registro .it sul futuro dei domini
L’evoluzione degli strumenti di ricerca, dall’AI Overview ai chatbot basati su intelligenza artificiale generativa, sta trasformando profondamente il modo in cui gli utenti cercano e trovano contenuti e servizi in rete. Un cambio epocale che sta coinvolgendo ovviamente tutti coloro che hanno una presenza online per promuovere le proprie attivita’ o vendere i propri prodotti. Ma come impatta tutto questo sui nomi a dominio e sui siti web?
Per analizzare queste dinamiche, il Registro .it ha avviato un’indagine strategica sul posizionamento del dominio .it, sul rapporto tra identita’ digitale e Made in Italy e sui fattori che influenzano le scelte di registrazione, utilizzo o abbandono di un dominio.
Nel panel dal titolo “Dal dato alla strategia: l’indagine del Registro .it sul futuro dei domini” (presso lo stand del Registro .it a WMF, padiglione 30, stand C35-D34), Mirko Bruni (CEO di The Fool) presentera’ lo studio in corso e i primi insight emersi. L’incontro sara’ l’occasione per approfondire obiettivi e metodologia della ricerca, che integra analisi qualitative e quantitative, ascolto degli stakeholder, focus group e indagini CAWI rivolte a professionisti, partite IVA e piccole imprese. Saranno inoltre discussi i temi della fiducia digitale, della reputazione online e del rapporto tra domini e piattaforme social, alla luce delle nuove dinamiche introdotte dall’AI nei processi di ricerca e visibilità online.

We are pleased to inform you that from 24 to 26 June, Registro .it will be present at BolognaFiere to take part in the 2026 edition of We Make Future (WMF).
WMF is a three-day international event dedicated to digital innovation, artificial intelligence, and technology, bringing together over 100 events across training, business, and entertainment. Each year it connects companies, startups, institutions, investors, and professionals from more than 90 countries, establishing itself as an ecosystem where research, market, and technological development meet.
This year as well, Registro .it will participate in WMF with a dedicated space (Hall 30, Stand C35-D34), designed as a meeting and networking hub for Registrars, digital professionals, web agencies, and companies. It will be an opportunity to share experiences, explore topics related to digital identity, and reflect on the strategic role of domain names in the evolution of the online ecosystem, in a context increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and new dynamics of digital presence.
In addition, within WMF 2026, Registro .it has organized two sessions, each lasting 30 minutes:
- the first session, taking place on 24 June (4:00 PM), will be dedicated to the NIS2 Directive and digital resilience, with a discussion on the new responsibilities and opportunities for businesses and industry operators;
- the second session, which will take place on 25 June (2:00 PM), will present the strategic study launched by the Registro .it to analyze the positioning of the .it domain and the relationship between digital identity, domains, AI, and new ways of searching for and gaining online visibility.

Cybersecurity and NIS2: from compliance to European digital resilience
Registro .it brings to WMF 2026 a discussion on a highly topical issue for digital sector operators: the NIS2 Directive and the profound changes it will bring to the European cybersecurity framework.
With full implementation expected in the second half of October, the NIS2 Directive expands the scope and responsibilities in digital risk management for companies. Cybersecurity is becoming increasingly strategic, introducing stricter obligations on prevention, incident reporting, and management accountability. Cybersecurity no longer concerns only critical infrastructures but becomes a systemic resilience model involving public administrations, companies, and digital operators across the entire value chain, from suppliers to cloud services and infrastructure platforms.
This topic will be discussed at the Registro .it space at WMF 2026 (Hall 30, Stand C35-D34) by Andrea Passarella, Director and Head of Registro .it, and Andrea Rigoni, Founder and Managing Partner of Altirium.
A public-private dialogue between the digital industry and the domain name ecosystem will explore implementation challenges and innovation opportunities related to NIS2, aiming to understand how compliance can become an enabling factor rather than a mere regulatory obligation.

From data to strategy: a Study by Registro .it on the future of domain names
The evolution of search tools - from AI Overviews to generative AI-based chatbots - is profoundly transforming the way users search for and discover content and services online. This represents an epochal shift affecting all actors with an online presence promoting their activities or selling products. But how does this impact domain names and websites?
To analyze these dynamics, Registro .it has launched a strategic study on the positioning of the .it domain, the relationship between digital identity and Made in Italy, and the factors influencing domain registration, usage, or abandonment decisions.
During the panel titled “From data to strategy: Registro .it’s study on the future of domain names” (at the Registro .it booth at WMF, Hall 30, Stand C35-D34), Mirko Bruni (CEO of The Fool) will present the ongoing study and the first insights. The session will explore the objectives and methodology of the research, which integrates qualitative and quantitative analysis, stakeholder engagement, focus groups, and CAWI surveys targeting professionals, freelancers, and small businesses. Topics such as digital trust, online reputation, and the relationship between domain names and social platforms will also be discussed, in light of the new dynamics introduced by AI in search and online visibility processes.
