Si comunica a tutti i Registrar che, lunedi 9 maggio alle ore 13.00, verra' rilasciata un nuova versione dell'ambiente di test del server EPP (https://pub-test.nic.it) che consentira' di specificare un indirizzo IPV6 fra gli indirizzi di un name server subordinato ad un nome a dominio. Sara' quindi possibile specificare fino a 2 indirizzi IP per un nameserver, mantenendo comunque il vincolo, in questa prima fase, che almeno uno sia di tipo IPV4. Al fine di verificare che gli indirizzi IPv6 specificati siano effettivamente associati ai nameserver indicati e che gli stessi rispondano in maniera autoritativa anche sui nuovi indirizzi IPv6, e' stato modificato il software di verifica della configurazione dei nameserver autoritativi di un nome a dominio. Non sono state invece apportate modifiche alla struttura del messaggio "DNS check ended unsuccessfully" o "DNS check ended successfully with warning" inserito dal server EPP nella coda di polling. It will allow the Registrars to indicate an IPv6 address among the ip addresses of a subordinated nameserver to a domain name. It will be possible to indicate up to 2 IP addresses for each nameserver, while maintaining the constraint during this first phase, that at least one IP address is of IPv4 type. In order to verify that the specified IPv6 addresses are really associated to the nameservers indicated and that they are authoritative also for the new IPv6 address, the software for the authoritative namservers configuration check has been modified. The structure of the messages "DNS check ended unsuccessfully" or "DNS check ended successfully with warning" inserted by the EPP server in the polling queue, were not modified. A tutti i Maintainer/Registrar, vi informiamo che domani, 31 marzo 2011, alle ore 10:00 sara' modificato l'indirizzo IP associato al servizio DAS. Il nuovo indirizzo sara' 192.12.192.230. L'attuale indirizzo 192.12.192.242 continuera' ad essere utilizzato per il servizio Whois pubblico. Considerato che il TTL associato al record A di das.nic.it e' impostato da tempo a 60 secondi, la modifica non dovrebbe causare problemi a coloro che utilizzano il servizio referenziandolo tramite nome simbolico. Sono pregati di prendere atto della modifica in oggetto, tutti coloro che, invece, referenziano il servizio DAS tramite indirizzo IP. Considering that the TTL associated to the A record of das.nic.it is set to 60 seconds, the change should not cause problems for those who use the service referencing it with the symbolic name. All those who instead, are referencing the DAS service via IP address, are kindly requested to take note of the amendment in question. A tutti i Registrar, vi informiamo che martedi 29 marzo 2011 il Registro attivera' un nuovo servizio, denominato "DAS autenticato", che consentira' ai Registrar di poter svolgere in maniera efficace le proprie operazioni di verifica della disponibilita' di un nome a dominio .it. Il servizio DAS autenticato e' riservato ai Registrar ed e' attivabile tramite il portale RAIN-NG accedendo alla sezione "Strumenti"/Indirizzi IP Server DAS, o direttamente alle seguente URL: https://rain-ng.nic.it/rain/dasIp/list Il Registrar ha la possibilita' di impostare sino a 3 indirizzi IP dai quali potra' accedere al servizio. Il DAS autenticato e' disponibile sulla macchina das-auth.nic.it, porta 3434. Ogni Registrar ha la possibilità di effettuare giornalmente (dalle 00 alle 24) al massimo 60.000 interrogazioni. Al fine di rendere un servizio affidabile ed efficiente, il DAS autenticato e' configurato per accettare, al massimo, 2 nuove connessioni al secondo per singolo IP. The authenticated DAS is reserved to Registrars and is activated through the RAIN-NG portal at the Tools/DAS Server IP Addresses section or directly at the following URL: https://rain-ng.nic.it/rain/dasIp/list The Registrar has the possibility of setting up to 3 IP addresses from which he can access the service. The Authenticated DAS is available on the das-auth.nic.it machine, port 3434. Each Registrar has the possibility to carry out daily (from 00 to 24) up to 60,000 queries. In order to make a reliable and efficient service, the authenticated DAS is configured to accept, at most, 2 new connections per second per IP. A tutti i Maintainer/Registrar L'Internet Festival si svolgera' a Pisa dal 5 all'8 maggio 2011, come parte del progetto "150 anni di scienza" promosso dal Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche e dall'Associazione Festival della Scienza. Quest'anno, infatti, il Festival della Scienza celebra "150 anni di scienza e oltre" ed e' il principale evento di divulgazione scientifica inserito nelle celebrazioni dei 150 anni dell'Unita' d'Italia; avra' una struttura polifonica e sara' collegato a diversi eventi scientifico-divulgativi in altre otto citta' d'Italia, tra cui l'Internet Festival a Pisa, che si propongono di celebrare l’eccellenza italiana in diversi settori. L'Internet Festival e' organizzato dall'Istituto di Informatica e Telematica, insieme al Registro .it, agli altri Istituti dell'Area della Ricerca del CNR di Pisa, all'Universita' degli Studi di Pisa, alla Scuola Superiore S. Anna, alla Scuola Normale Superiore, alla Camera di Commercio, al Comune, alla Provincia. E' naturale pertanto organizzare a Pisa l'evento che si propone di raccontare il passato, il presente e il futuro dell’eccellenza informatica, secondo lo spirito e le modalita' del Festival della Scienza: divulgazione scientifica e apertura al futuro. I laboratori e gli exhibit piu' significativi saranno presentati allo stesso Festival della Scienza di Genova dal 22 ottobre al 2 novembre 2011. A tutti i Maintainer/Registrar, e' con grande dolore che abbiamo accolto stamani la notizia della morte di Luca Trombella, il nostro giovane collega giornalista, che alcuni di voi hanno conosciuto. Luca ha combattuto con forza per alcuni mesi con la malattia che lo aveva colpito, ma non ce l'ha fatta. Domani pomeriggio, in concomitanza con i suoi funerali, il servizio di help desk non verrà garantito, per consentire a tutti i colleghi che lo desiderano di partecipare al rito: per molti di noi un atto dovuto all'amato collega.
