A tutti i Registrar, vi informiamo che martedi 29 marzo 2011 il Registro attivera' un nuovo servizio, denominato "DAS autenticato", che consentira' ai Registrar di poter svolgere in maniera efficace le proprie operazioni di verifica della disponibilita' di un nome a dominio .it. Il servizio DAS autenticato e' riservato ai Registrar ed e' attivabile tramite il portale RAIN-NG accedendo alla sezione "Strumenti"/Indirizzi IP Server DAS, o direttamente alle seguente URL: https://rain-ng.nic.it/rain/dasIp/list Il Registrar ha la possibilita' di impostare sino a 3 indirizzi IP dai quali potra' accedere al servizio. Il DAS autenticato e' disponibile sulla macchina das-auth.nic.it, porta 3434. Ogni Registrar ha la possibilità di effettuare giornalmente (dalle 00 alle 24) al massimo 60.000 interrogazioni. Al fine di rendere un servizio affidabile ed efficiente, il DAS autenticato e' configurato per accettare, al massimo, 2 nuove connessioni al secondo per singolo IP. The authenticated DAS is reserved to Registrars and is activated through the RAIN-NG portal at the Tools/DAS Server IP Addresses section or directly at the following URL: https://rain-ng.nic.it/rain/dasIp/list The Registrar has the possibility of setting up to 3 IP addresses from which he can access the service. The Authenticated DAS is available on the das-auth.nic.it machine, port 3434. Each Registrar has the possibility to carry out daily (from 00 to 24) up to 60,000 queries. In order to make a reliable and efficient service, the authenticated DAS is configured to accept, at most, 2 new connections per second per IP. A tutti i Maintainer/Registrar L'Internet Festival si svolgera' a Pisa dal 5 all'8 maggio 2011, come parte del progetto "150 anni di scienza" promosso dal Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche e dall'Associazione Festival della Scienza. Quest'anno, infatti, il Festival della Scienza celebra "150 anni di scienza e oltre" ed e' il principale evento di divulgazione scientifica inserito nelle celebrazioni dei 150 anni dell'Unita' d'Italia; avra' una struttura polifonica e sara' collegato a diversi eventi scientifico-divulgativi in altre otto citta' d'Italia, tra cui l'Internet Festival a Pisa, che si propongono di celebrare l’eccellenza italiana in diversi settori. L'Internet Festival e' organizzato dall'Istituto di Informatica e Telematica, insieme al Registro .it, agli altri Istituti dell'Area della Ricerca del CNR di Pisa, all'Universita' degli Studi di Pisa, alla Scuola Superiore S. Anna, alla Scuola Normale Superiore, alla Camera di Commercio, al Comune, alla Provincia. E' naturale pertanto organizzare a Pisa l'evento che si propone di raccontare il passato, il presente e il futuro dell’eccellenza informatica, secondo lo spirito e le modalita' del Festival della Scienza: divulgazione scientifica e apertura al futuro. I laboratori e gli exhibit piu' significativi saranno presentati allo stesso Festival della Scienza di Genova dal 22 ottobre al 2 novembre 2011. A tutti i Maintainer/Registrar, e' con grande dolore che abbiamo accolto stamani la notizia della morte di Luca Trombella, il nostro giovane collega giornalista, che alcuni di voi hanno conosciuto. Luca ha combattuto con forza per alcuni mesi con la malattia che lo aveva colpito, ma non ce l'ha fatta. Domani pomeriggio, in concomitanza con i suoi funerali, il servizio di help desk non verrà garantito, per consentire a tutti i colleghi che lo desiderano di partecipare al rito: per molti di noi un atto dovuto all'amato collega. A tutti i Registrar, vi informiamo che il giorno 30 dicembre 2010, dalle ore 13.00 alle ore 14.00, sara' effettuato un intervento di manutenzione al server EPP (epp.nic.it e epp-deleted.nic.it), al fine di recepire le modifiche introdotte nel nuovo Regolamento di assegnazione dei nomi a dominio e relative Linee Guida sincrone. Durante l'intervento, gli altri servizi del Registro saranno garantiti. CARATTERISTICHE DEL NUOVO SERVER EPP La nuova versione del server EPP implementa le seguenti funzionalita': - l'operazione sincrona Domain Trade (modifica del Registrante) non è piu' fatturata e, conseguentemente, la data di scadenza del dominio rimane invariata in seguito a tale operazione; - la soglia di credito del Registrar necessaria al mantenimento dei domini e' stata ridotta da 15 a 7 giorni. Da notare che l'avviso relativo al raggiungimento della soglia di credito (messaggio "Low credit will be reached soon") resta calcolato sulla base di un periodo di 21 giorni; - nel caso di un'operazione di Domain Transfer Trade (modifica del Registrar con contestuale modifica del Registrante) terminata con successo, al contatto admin sara' sempre associato il nuovo contatto registrante (allo stato attuale veniva fatto solo per i registranti di tipo "persone fisiche"). Ci scusiamo per gli eventuali inconvenienti che dovessero verificarsi. During the maintainance intervention, the other services of the Registry will be guaranteed. FEATURES OF THE NEW EPP SERVER The new version of the EPP server implements the following features: - the Domain Trade synchronous operation (modification of the Registrant) is no longer charged and, consequently, the expiry date of the domain remains unchanged following this operation; - the Registrar threshold, required to maintain the domain names, is reduced from 15 to 7 days. Note that the warning message concerning the reaching of the threshold (message "Low credit will soon be Reached") is calculated on the basis of a period of 21 days; - in case of a Domain Transfer Trade operation (Modification of the Registrar with simultaneous modification of the Registrant) successfully completed, the Admin contact will be always associated with the new Registrant contact (at present it was only made for "natural persons "registrants type). A tutti i Maintainer e Registrar, vi informiamo che sul sito Web del Registro (http://www.nic.it) e sul portale RAIN (https://rain.nic.it), sono disponibili le nuove versioni del Regolamento di assegnazione e gestione dei nomi a dominio nel .it (versione 6.1), delle Linee Guida tecniche del sistema asincrono (versione 1.6) e delle Linee Guida tecniche del sistema sincrono (versione 1.3). Il nuovo Regolamento e le nuove Linee Guida tecniche entreranno in vigore in data 1 gennaio 2011. Le principali modifiche sono: - eliminazione dell'operazione di trasferimento di un dominio da un Registrar ad un Maintainer (con o senza la contestuale modifica del Registrante); - eliminazione dell'operazione di Trasferimento Bulk da un Registrar ad un Maintainer; - limitatamente al sistema sincrono di registrazione: * la non fatturazione della operazione di modifica del Registrante con conseguente non aggiornamento del campo expire; * la riduzione, da 15 a 7 giorni, della soglia di credito del Registrar necessaria al mantenimento dei domini; * l'introduzione del pagamento tramite carta di credito (disponibile sul portale RAIN-NG). A tutti i Maintainer e i Registrar, vi informiamo che, viste le numerose prenotazioni ai test di accreditamento pervenute in questi giorni, a far data da Mercoledì 15 Dicembre 2010 e fino al 31 Gennaio 2011, il Registro .it ha provveduto ad incrementare da 4 a 6, il numero di test disponibili quotidianamente su ognuna delle due macchine dedicate all'accreditamento. Pertanto, agli attuali slot di accreditamento previsti alle 09.30, 11.00, 14.30 e 16.00 sono stati aggiunti i due nuovi slot delle 12.30 e 17.30. Si ricorda ai Registrar che avessero gia' effettuato una prenotazione per i prossimi giorni e che volessero usufruire dei nuovi slot disponibili, che e' possibile, attraverso il portale di accreditamento ARP (https://arp.nic.it) - sezione Accreditamento/Prenotazione del test- rimuovere una prenotazione effettuata e per prenotarsi in un nuovo slot.
