A tutti i Maintainer/Registrar, vi informiamo che il giorno 4 novembre sara' effettuato un intervento di manutenzione straordinaria ai servizi di registrazione del Registro. L'intervento iniziera' alle ore 13.00 e durera' circa 60 minuti. Durante l'intervento, i servizi essenziali, quali i servizi fax, DNS, Whois, DAS, SOAP, sito Web pubblico del Registro e portale ARP saranno garantiti. Durante l'intervento, sara' pubblicata la nuova versione del portale RAIN-NG, le cui principali caratteristiche sono sotto descritte. Saranno invece sospesi i seguenti servizi: * server EPP (ambiente di produzione e ambiente di test); * portali RAIN e RAIN-NG; * ELAR; * posta elettronica e quindi moduli elettronici e no-provider. E' possibile comunque che durante l'intervento, si verifichino delle brevi interruzioni ai servizi Whois, DAS e stato delle registrazioni. CARATTERISTICHE NUOVO PORTALE RAIN-NG La nuova versione del portale RAIN-NG ha un'interfaccia completamente rinnovata e, rispetto alla versione attuale, ha in più le seguenti principali caratteristiche: - possibilita' di effettuare ricerche anche per contatti del nome a dominio e ottenere maggiori e piu' dettagliate informazioni nel caso di ricerca per nome a dominio; - miglioramento della gestione dei pagamenti e delle fatture con la possibilita' di vedere gli eventi fatturati prima che sia emessa la fattura finale; - gestione dei contatti collegati al Registrar; - visualizzazione degli eventi relativi alla vita del Registrar come: emissione di fatture, approvazione di pagamenti, modifiche di stato del registrar ecc. E' possibile anche visualizzarli via RSS; - visualizzazione delle informazioni contrattuali e modifica della sede operativa. The intervention is scheduled at 1 p.m. and it will last approximately 60 minutes. During the intervention the basic services, such as the fax service, DNS, Whois, DAS, SOAP, public Web site of the Registry and ARP portal will be granted. During the intervention a new version of the RAIN-NG portal will come into operation. Its main features are described below. The following services will be suspended: * EPP server (the production environment and the public test one); * RAIN and RAIN-NG portals; * ELAR; * electronic mail and therefore technical forms and no-provider forms; During the intervention, short interruptions of the Whois, DAS and Registration status services, could however occur. FEATURES OF THE NEW RAIN-NG PORTAL A new version of the RAIN-NG portal has been implemented; in addition to a completely renewed interface it has the following main features: - possibility to carry out searches for domain names contacts, to obtain more information and more details on the searches for domain names; - improvement of the management of payments and invoices and the possibility to visualize invoiced events before the final invoice is issued; - management of the contacts associated to the Registrar; - visualization of events related to the Registrar such as: issuing of invoices, approval of payments, registrar status modifications and so on. It is also possible to view the events via RSS; - visualization of the contract information and modification of the Head office. L'intervento, che avra' la durata di circa 15 minuti, potra' causare il down delle sessioni di peering BGP. In tal caso, la raggiungibilita' dei servizi del Registro, sara' comunque garantita attraverso la connettivita' GARR. Ci scusiamo per gli eventuali inconvenienti che dovessero verificarsi. A tutti i Mantainer/Registrar, vi comunichiamo che il giorno 13 novembre sara' rilasciata una nuova versione della piattaforma di test pubblico. L'aggiornamento iniziera' alle ore 14:00 e avra' una durata di circa un'ora. Saranno aggiornati, in particolare, i server EPP di test (epp-pub-test.nic.it, epp-deleted-pub-test.nic.it), il portale RAIN-NG (rain-ng-pub-test.nic.it) e il servizio Whois (whois-pub-test.nic.it). SERVER EPP La modifica principale riguarda l'introduzione degli IDN. Sara' possibile creare e gestire, sulla piattaforma di test, nomi a dominio contenenti caratteri UTF8. In particolare, sara' possibile utilizzare, nel nome a dominio che si intende registrare, caratteri non ascii appartenenti alla lingua italiana, francese e tedesca. I caratteri ammessi sono in allegato. Non sono accettati IDN nei nomi dei nameserver e negli indirizzi email dei contatti. In tal caso, se sara' necessario riferire un nome a dominio di tipo IDN, dovra' essere utilizzata la sua codifica Punycode. PORTALE RAIN-NG E' stata realizzata una nuova versione del portale RAIN-NG di test che, oltre ad avere un'interfaccia completamente rinnovata ha in piu' le seguenti principali caratteristiche: - possibilita' di effettuare ricariche del credito ''fittizie'' con carta di credito; - possibilita' di effettuare ricerche anche per contatti del nome a dominio, ottenere maggiori e piu' dettagliate informazioni nel caso di ricerca per nome a dominio e supporto IDN nelle ricerche dei nomi a dominio (sia in UTF8 che Punycode); - strumento di conversione da caratteri nativi a Punycode e viceversa - miglioramento della gestione dei pagamenti e delle fatture con la possibilita' di vedere gli eventi fatturati prima che sia emessa la fattura finale; - gestione dei contatti collegati al Registrar; - visualizzazione degli eventi relativi alla vita del Registrar come: emissione di fatture, approvazione di pagamenti, modifiche di stato del registrar ecc. E' possibile anche visualizzarli via RSS; - visualizzazione delle informazioni contrattuali e modifica della sede operativa. The update will start at 2.00 pm and will last approximately one hour. In particular, the EPP test servers (epp-pub-test.nic.it, epp-deleted-pub-test.nic.it), the RAIN-NG portal (rain-ng-pub-test.nic.it) and the Whois service (whois-pub-test.nic.it) will be updated. SERVER EPP The main change concerns the introduction of IDNs. It will possible to create and manage, on the test platform, domain names with UTF8 characters. Moreover, it will be possible to use for the domain name you wish to register, non-ASCII characters belonging to Italian, French and German. The supported characters are in attachment. IDNs are not accepted for the names of nameservers and for the email addresses of the contacts. In such cases, if it is necessary to indicate an IDN domain name, the Puny code encoding should be used. RAIN-NG PORTAL A new version of the RAIN-NG test portal has been implemented; in addition to a completely renewed interface it has the following main features: - possibility to recharge the "fake" credit with credit card; - possibility to carry out searches for domain names contacts, to obtain more information and more details on the searches for domain names and IDN support in domain names searches (both in UTF8 and Puny code); - tool for the conversion from native characters to Puny code and vice versa; - improvement of the management of payments and invoices and the possibility to visualize invoiced events before the final invoice is issued; - management of the contacts associated to the Registrar; - visualization of events related to the Registrar such as: issuing of invoices, approval of payments, registrar status modifications and so on. It is also possible to view the events via RSS; - visualization of the contract information and modification of the Head office. A tutti i Maintainer, date le numerose richieste ricevute in merito alla possibilita' di accedere alla piattaforma di test del sistema sincrono, vi ricordiamo che per poter aderire a tale piattaforma e' sufficiente che il Maintainer invii una mail di richiesta all'indirizzo test-epp(a)nic.it. Lo staff preposto provvedera' a fornire, a ciascuno di voi, le informazioni necessarie per poter iniziare la sperimentazione (account, password, ecc.). Cordiali saluti.
