L'accesso alle API REST riservate ai Registrar richiede la creazione preventiva di un client autenticato. Sul nuovo portale RAIN (https://rain.pubtest.nic.it), nella sezione "Sicurezza/Gestione Client”, e’ disponibile la funzionalita’ per creare un nuovo client ed assegnarlo ad un utente del Registrar. La documentazione descrive dettagliatamente il processo di autenticazione e include degli script di esempio che possono essere utilizzati per autenticarsi. Cari Registrar, siamo lieti di informarvi che, dal 24 al 26 giugno, il Registro .it sara’ presente a BolognaFiere per partecipare all’edizione 2026 di We Make Future (WMF). WMF e’ un appuntamento internazionale di tre giorni, dedicato a innovazione digitale, intelligenza artificiale e tecnologia, che riunisce oltre 100 eventi tra formazione, business e intrattenimento. Ogni anno connette imprese, startup, istituzioni, investitori e professionisti provenienti da oltre 90 Paesi, configurandosi come un ecosistema di incontro tra ricerca, mercato e sviluppo tecnologico. Anche quest’anno il Registro .it partecipera’ a WMF con uno spazio dedicato (padiglione 30, stand C35-D34), pensato come luogo di incontro e confronto con Registrar, professionisti del digitale, web agency e aziende. Un’occasione per condividere esperienze, approfondire i temi dell’identita’ digitale e riflettere sul ruolo strategico dei nomi a dominio nell’evoluzione dell’ecosistema online, in uno scenario sempre piu’ influenzato dall’intelligenza artificiale, dalla cybersecurity e dalle nuove dinamiche della presenza digitale. Con l’entrata in piena operativita’ prevista nella seconda meta’ di ottobre, la direttiva NIS2 amplia il perimetro e le responsabilita’ nella gestione del rischio digitale per le aziende. La sicurezza informatica assume un ruolo sempre piu’ strategico, con l’introduzione di obblighi piu’ stringenti sulla prevenzione, sulla notifica degli incidenti e sulla responsabilita’ del management. WMF is a three-day international event dedicated to digital innovation, artificial intelligence, and technology, bringing together over 100 events across training, business, and entertainment. Each year it connects companies, startups, institutions, investors, and professionals from more than 90 countries, establishing itself as an ecosystem where research, market, and technological development meet. This year as well, Registro .it will participate in WMF with a dedicated space (Hall 30, Stand C35-D34), designed as a meeting and networking hub for Registrars, digital professionals, web agencies, and companies. It will be an opportunity to share experiences, explore topics related to digital identity, and reflect on the strategic role of domain names in the evolution of the online ecosystem, in a context increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and new dynamics of digital presence. In addition, within WMF 2026, Registro .it has organized two sessions, each lasting 30 minutes: - the first session, taking place on 24 June (4:00 PM), will be dedicated to the NIS2 Directive and digital resilience, with a discussion on the new responsibilities and opportunities for businesses and industry operators; - the second session, which will take place on 25 June (2:00 PM), will present the strategic study launched by the Registro .it to analyze the positioning of the .it domain and the relationship between digital identity, domains, AI, and new ways of searching for and gaining online visibility. Kind regards, Organizing Secretariat of Registro .it Session abstracts Bologna – WMF – 24 June 2026 Cybersecurity and NIS2: from compliance to European digital resilience Registro .it brings to WMF 2026 a discussion on a highly topical issue for digital sector operators: the NIS2 Directive and the profound changes it will bring to the European cybersecurity framework. With full implementation expected in the second half of October, the NIS2 Directive expands the scope and responsibilities in digital risk management for companies. Cybersecurity is becoming increasingly strategic, introducing stricter obligations on prevention, incident reporting, and management accountability. Cybersecurity no longer concerns only critical infrastructures but becomes a systemic resilience model involving public administrations, companies, and digital operators across the entire value chain, from suppliers to cloud services and infrastructure platforms. This topic will be discussed at the Registro .it space at WMF 2026 (Hall 30, Stand C35-D34) by Andrea Passarella, Director and Head of Registro .it, and Andrea Rigoni, Founder and Managing Partner of Altirium. A public-private dialogue between the digital industry and the domain name ecosystem will explore implementation challenges and innovation opportunities related to NIS2, aiming to understand how compliance can become an enabling factor rather than a mere regulatory obligation. Bologna – WMF – 25 June 2026 From data to strategy: a Study by Registro .it on the future of domain names The evolution of search tools - from AI Overviews to generative AI-based chatbots - is profoundly transforming the way users search for and discover content and services online. This represents an epochal shift affecting all actors with an online presence promoting their activities or selling products. But how does this impact domain names and websites? To analyze these dynamics, Registro .it has launched a strategic study on the positioning of the .it domain, the relationship between digital identity and Made in Italy, and the factors influencing domain registration, usage, or abandonment decisions. During the panel titled “From data to strategy: Registro .it’s study on the future of domain names” (at the Registro .it booth at WMF, Hall 30, Stand C35-D34), Mirko Bruni (CEO of The Fool) will present the ongoing study and the first insights. The session will explore the objectives and methodology of the research, which integrates qualitative and quantitative analysis, stakeholder engagement, focus groups, and CAWI surveys targeting professionals, freelancers, and small businesses. Cari Registrar, vi comunichiamo che il Meeting annuale Registro Registrar in programma il 15 maggio prossimo è stato cancellato a causa di un numero di iscritti molto limitato. Le scarse iscrizioni sono dovute probabilmente all'attuale contesto internazionale che sta generando incertezza e possibili aumenti dei costi di missione, portando molte aziende a ridurre drasticamente le trasferte. Sentito il parere della CIR si è ritenuto opportuno spostare la data di svolgimento presumibilmente alla fine di ottobre 2026. Ci scusiamo per il disagio arrecato. Probably it is due to the current international situation, which is causing uncertainty and potentially leading to higher business travel costs, prompting many companies to drastically cut back on business travels. Following consultation with the Steering Committee of the Registro (CIR), it was deemed appropriate to postpone the event, likely to the end of October 2026.
