A tutti i Registrar, vi informiamo che oggi, 23 ottobre 2026, nella sezione “Moduli e Doc” del sito web del Registro.it, sono stati pubblicati i seguenti nuovi documenti: - Regolamento di assegnazione dei nomi a dominio nel ccTLD .it: https://www.nic.it/sites/default/files/documenti/2026/Regolamento_assegnazio... - Linee guida tecniche: https://www.nic.it/sites/default/files/documenti/2026/Linee_Guida_Tecniche_S... - Policy Whois: https://www.nic.it/sites/default/files/documenti/2026/Whois_policy_v.2.3.pdf I nuovi documenti entreranno in vigore il 23 novembre 2026 e troveranno riflesso sulla piattaforma di test del Registro da lunedi’ 26 ottobre 2026. Le principali modifiche riguardano: 1) l’eliminazione dei contatti admin e tech, in tutte le fasi di registrazione e mantenimento dei nomi a dominio; 2) la conseguente eliminazione dei contatti admin e tech dalla visualizzazione Whois; 3) l’eliminazione del campo “fax” presente nei contatti; 4) l’obbligatorieta’ di impostare il campo “name” uguale al campo “org” anche nel caso di soggetti diversi dalle persone fisiche. Tutte le modifiche effettuate nei nuovi documenti, rispetto alle versioni precedenti, sono comunque elencate nella sezione "Revisioni”. Da notare che, considerato l'impatto delle modifiche e il tempo necessario ai Registrar per adeguare i propri sistemi, la loro entrata in vigore sara’ graduale: - dal 23 novembre 2026 entreranno in vigore l’eliminazione del campo fax, l’obbligo di coincidenza tra i campi «name» e «org» per tutti i soggetti e l’eliminazione dei contatti admin e tech dalla visualizzazione Whois; - sempre dal 23 novembre 2026, sarà possibile registrare i nomi a dominio indicando il solo contatto Registrante. Tuttavia, l’eventuale presenza dei contatti admin e tech non genererà errori. Per completare gli adeguamenti connessi all’eliminazione dei contatti admin e tech e’ previsto un un periodo transitorio che si concludera’ il 28 febbraio 2027. Pertanto, a partire dal 1 marzo 2027, tutti i Registrar dovranno aver adeguato i propri sistemi alle nuove Linee Guida Tecniche. The new documents will come into effect on November 23, 2026, and will be reflected on the Registry’s test platform starting Monday, October 26, 2026. The main changes concern: 1) the elimination of admin and tech contacts throughout all stages of domain name registration and maintenance; 2) the consequent removal of the admin and tech contacts from the Whois visualization; 3) the elimination of the “fax” field within the contact information; 4) the requirement that the “name” field be set to the same value as the “org” field, even for entities other than natural persons. All changes made in the new documents, compared to previous versions, are listed in the "Revisions" section. It should be noted that, given the impact of these changes and the time required for Registrars to update their systems, their implementation will be gradual: - as of November 23, 2026, the following changes will take effect: the removal of the fax field, the requirement that the "name" and "org" fields must match for all registrants, and the removal of "admin" and "tech" contacts from the Whois visualization; - also starting from November 23, 2026, it will be possible to register domain names by providing only the Registrant contact. However, the inclusion of "admin" and "tech" contacts will not result in any errors. To complete the adjustments related to the elimination of admin and tech contacts, a transitional period is in place, which will conclude on February 28, 2027. Therefore, starting from March 1, 2027, all Registrars must have adapted their systems to the new Technical Guidelines.
