Cordiali saluti, Il Registro .it ****************************************************************************** Dear Registrars, We would like to inform you that as part of the initiatives planned for the promotion of the .it domain name in 2025, the Registro .it will participate in BTM Italia 2025, which will take place in Bari from February 26th to 28th. BTM is one of the major tourism event in Southern Italy, which for years has brought together businesses, administrations, and public and private entities in Puglia to create a space for networking and knowledge exchange among tourism industry professionals. BTM has seen exponential growth in recent years, hosting - with the 2024 edition - 250 exhibitors, 48,700 visitors, and 430 companies, including municipalities and trade associations. Due to these impressive numbers, the Registro .it has chosen to participate in the upcoming edition of BTM with a stand, which will be made available to you. At this stand, you will have the opportunity to engage with those who wish to establish an online presence with a .it domain name, including businesses and freelancers who have not yet taken advantage of the opportunity to grow their online presence and enhance the visibility of their Italian brand identity. Therefore, we invite you to participate in the three-day event in Bari as guests at the Registro .it stand. Here, you can promote your digital services, engage with attendees, distribute your promotional material, and offer your expertise by answering questions and providing information to interested parties. There are only a few spots available, and priority will be given to those who register first (first come, first served), by sending an email to comunicazione(a)nic.it by January 15th. The strategic choice of BTM is an unmissable opportunity, given that the fair’s primary goal is to strengthen the promotion of the Italian territory to buyers and their respective national and international markets. It aims to contribute to the development of “tourist products,” particularly in the areas of food and wine, art and culture, sports and nature, stimulate local communities and visitors to spread positive word-of-mouth about the territory, and create engagement and traffic towards the online channels of the Puglia brand. Please feel free to contact us for any further information. Cordiali saluti, lo staff del Registro .it ========= To all Registrars, we would like to remind you that tomorrow, 23 May, the SSL certificates of the Registry production EPPs (epp.nic.it/epp-deleted.nic.it) will be renewed, according to the email sent this list on May 8th and below attached. Considering that, from the checks carried out, there are still some Registrars who use the TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 protocols, the definitive transition on the server side to the TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3 protocols, with consequent deactivation of the 1.0 and 1.1 versions, will be carried out on Monday 27 May. Cordiali saluti, lo staff del Registro .it ======== To all Registrars, we would like to inform you that the SSL certificates of the Registry production EPPs (epp.nic.it/epp-deleted.nic.it) will be renewed on 23 May. by Registrars which have drawn up a contract with the ccTLD .it Registry 01 Giu '22

01 Giu '22

Cordiali saluti, lo staff del Registro .it _______________________________________ To all Registrars we inform you that, on June 7, in the “gov.it” section of the website of the .it Registry (https://www.nic.it/en/domini-gov-it), version 1.0 of the “Regulation for the assignment and management of domain names in the gov.it SLD” and version 1.0 of the related “Technical Guidelines for the management of domain name operations in the gov.it SLD” (addendum to the Technical Guidelines for the management of domain name operations in the .it SLD) will be published. The “Regulation for the assignment and management of domain names in the SLD gov.it” and the related Technical Guidelines will enter into force on July 7, 2022. We would also like to inform you that, starting from June 7, it will be possible to simulate on the test platform of the .it Registry the operations necessary for registering a domain name in the SLD gov.it. In addition to the release of the EPP server, capable of recognising the extensions for the gov.it SLD described in the Technical Guidelines, the gov.it domain name applicant validation system will be made available, accessible at https://gov-it-validation.pubtest.nic.it/ The validation system, which in production will be reserved for the Central Public Administrations of the Italian State wishing to register a domain name in the gov.it SLD, has been modified in the test platform to allow access to Registrars, who will thus be able to verify its operation and, once it goes into production on 7 July, instruct potential future Registrants. Registrars will be able to access this system by authenticating via SPID or, in the absence of SPID, by registering a specific user. Once validation is complete, the system will send the result to the Registrar (to the e-mail address defined within SPID or to the e-mail address with which he/she registered on the system). In order to make the use of this validation system simpler and clearer, the .it Registry has “pre-validated” a set of Italian Public Administrations that are entitled to register a gov.it domain name and that can be used by Registrars on the test platform, both in the validation procedure and, subsequently, in the registration via EPP of the domain name and respective contacts. The set of these Public Administrations with their reference information (IPA code, UO code if applicable) will be available on the production RAIN portal (https://rain-ng.nic.it), in the “Documents/TEST-PA” section. On this occasion, we also inform Registrars that on the RAIN portal, in the “Documents / EPP Client Library” section, the new client library of the .it Registry has been published (epp-client-lib-1.18.0-20220607.zip) containing the extensions for the management of “gov.it” domain names and the relevant documentation.
